Welcome to GenIndigo - For Kids That Are In the World to Challenge the World

Every culture is reporting a new kind of child being born onto this Earth. Have you noticed something is definitely different about the kids born since around 1982? In trying to find ways to describe these "new kids", many well-intentioned people have labeled them with names that confuse those who consider themselves mainstream. But there is no doubt whatsoever those children born since around 1982 are different – they are like no other generation on record.

There have always been so-called indigo children. Joan of Arc was one. At the age of 14, heeding a call from God, she arose to reunite all of France. Today, there are more "indigo children" than ever. They're here to usher out the old energy of greed, corruption and competition, and usher in the new energy of manifestation, cooperation and integrity. Like a form of angels here to help us out of dark politics, this is a generation that will do something because these children embody a foolproof lie detector and do not discount their feelings.

Karen Bishop (www.whatsuponplanetearth.com), who brings the latest, most current status of our evolution into this New World, writes that these children "…seem to know what is going on. They embody much of the energy of the New and those of us blessed to have one of these new kids in our life crave their companionship. They love to play. They live in the moment. They trust. They are connected. They are extremely blunt and totally honest with a great clarity. They tell it like it is. They do not understand 'wiggle room,' and they expect what they expect, with no wavering or backing down." (see video)

It is as if they have digital wiring in an analog world.

These kids are true activists who will not be distracted from their message. You may perceive them as being angry or disrespectful, but they are just being honest. Maybe instead of apathetically accepting the greed, corruption and lack of integrity so prevalent in our world today, we as adults should be angry and disrespectful enough to stand alongside these kids and say "No more!". Maybe as adults, raised to respect our elders no matter what, only to fall victim to the corruption of those in power, we should give respect only to those who sincerely exhibit and exemplify honesty, integrity and compassion.

Maybe instead of ignoring these kids or insisting they be more like us, the world would be a better place if we tried to be more like them.

In The Edison Gene (Park Street Press, 2003), best-selling author Thom Hartman brilliantly demonstrates that what is commonly called a "disorder," ADHD, can be associated with creativity, high achievement and a highly adaptive skill set utilized by our hunting and gathering ancestors. Such characteristics have been critical to the survival and development of our modern civilization, and could be vital as humanity faces new challenges in the future.

Over 4 million kids are being medicated in the U.S. today. Maybe we should be listening to them instead of drugging them.

At 21, Candice is unsure of how she will change the world, but she feels a sense of "higher purpose". When she relates her experience of being diagnosed with ADD, and how she took her life back after being medicated to the point of feeling like a drug addict, we begin to understand how and why this happens and we feel inspired to ask, "How can we keep this from happening to others?"

We face many important issues in our world today: health, sexuality, education, politics, and the environment, just to name a few. There is an old saying, "If you do what you have always done, you are going to get what you have always gotten." Well, maybe it's time to do things differently. Maybe it's time to listen to our children, to overlook their apparent youth and hear their wisdom. Maybe it's time to let them fulfill their purpose here and Challenge The World.

Maybe our purpose is to help them fulfill their purpose.

The evolution of our planet may well depend on the amazing gifts these children bring, and it is an optimistic picture of the world that can be shaped by the talents and visions of these New Kids.
